Fundamental rule of Self defence – Avoid a fight

The basic rule of self defence is avoiding a fight if you can. Even if you are an experienced fighter, there’s always a chance you will get injured in a fight. This is reason why you should try to avoid a fight.
However, there are certain situations where you will be forced to fight or defend yourself. Sometimes people will attack you without any warning, in this case you will no longer be able to avoid a fight.
So, now you have no choice, you have to fight? Ask yourself this question: Do you want to come home safe? Or do you want to end up in a hospital? You have to make this decision. The ultimate goal is not to ‘beat the shit’ out of the attacker, but to survive and go home safe. You have the choice to either fight fair or to beat the attacker to a bloody pulp. I suggest you do enough damage then walk away.
